The chapter was amazing! Faina had a whole new spin to her, and I absolutely adore shy Snow White. (While I love your energetic, confident heroines, not all of us are so bold.) 🙂 Now I can’t wait to read this story! I am also very curious as to the portrayal of the Seven Dwarves and the identity of the Prince. (Did he ever have a name in the original fairytales?). So is there any way you can give me a hint for certain book where he is mentioned? Or is he a new character, like the heroine in The Frog Prince? (Mind racing)

While you’re at it, could you maybe throw in a dash of Christmas magic and speed up the merry editing process so your excited fans can read it sooner? That would be the second-greatest Christmas present of all. Kidding! (Mostly) 😉 No pressure/worries! 🙂
Anyway, long comment short, I love your books, and I am excited for this new one!

Thank you, Lynn! I’m so especially happy to hear that you like Snow White. She is very different compared to my other heroines, so I was a little leery of what the reaction to her will be, but I’m with you. Not everyone is quite so bold like Elle or as confident as Briar, and I wanted a heroine that reflected that.

Ok I just need to tell you something. I found your books about 2 weeks ago, and have already read all of them! They are so amazing! Normally I dislike it when a series switches main characters, or at the very least I like the first main character most, but that is not the case for your books at all! I love all of your main characters so much, and the stories are all amazing! I am avidly awaiting the Snow White book, (as well as the next Second Age of Rethea book) and I can’t wait to read more of your books.

Aww, thank you both Esther and Kendall!

I’m really glad you guys like the Second Age of Retha series. That one let’s me play with my nerdy humor–something I haven’t really been able to trot out much with the Fairy Tales. (Let’s just say Noir is very near and dear to my heart.)

Oh my gosh, yes. His glee from annoying Saint George- priceless!

Same! I found K.M. Shea a few months ago and have been buying her books as fast as I have money for (being a high schooler and all), because I am hopelessly in love with her writing! I just binge read all three of the Second Age of Retha series this weekend and already wish there were more. Her imagination is astounding!

Gahhh!!! I was all but screaming for Angelique to come and help by that last page!
[Spoilers!!!]
Clearly Faina (who sounds like she might be the most wonderful person ever) is suffering from some kind of Dark magical attack (Mullberg’s specific attack?)…and clearly needs help! Congratulations Kitty – it’s been a while since I read a book where I wanted to jump into the story to help the characters this badly!!!

😀 I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Based on your reaction, I think it’s safe to say you’ll enjoy it…
And it’s taking me an incredible amount of self control not to say anything spoiler-y, so I’m going to cut myself off here…

Haha, already put Snow white on my Christmas list. Two more months… Long, agonizing months! Needless to say, I love your writing!

Oh, Lordy. You gave us a whole new spin on the relationship between the Queen and Snow White. I wasn’t expecting to LIKE the queen or to want to champion her.
As always, your writing is FAN-Freaking-TASTIC. As others have said, I cannot wait til December.
Just one question. This seem to take place Just After Beauty and the Beast, but before the Summit??
Thank you for the sneak peak.
(why, yes, i did copy this from my FB post… don’t judge…. hahaha)

Lol, no judging at all! 😉

And I’m glad you like the angle! (The step-mom thing was one of those fairy tale grudges I hold–just like my deep dislike of the ending of the original Rumpelstiltskin.) I have been sharpening the ax for to hack at this issue for YEARS! BUWAHAHAHAH!

But, you are right-ish. The start of the story takes place the season after the end of Wild Swans, but time jumps forward with each scene, so by the end of the full first chapter, the story dumps you in the spring after Quinn has freed the elves. (So Snow White is 17 in the first scene, but she’s roughly 19 by the time her story actually gets moving.)

I’m cannot WAIT for this story to hit you guys in December. It might sound a little weird, but I’m really hoping it acts a bit like an emotional wallop–and preps you all for Angelique’s story!

Ack! No! Yes!
Oh, the suspense this next year is going to be excruciating, isnt it, Kitty?

I’m glad you like it! 🙂

Faina was a lot of fun to plan out, and this is really the first time I was able to do a mother-daughter story where you get the see the intricacies of their relationship.

Oh my, the Snow White cover is beautiful! I can hardly wait to read it… although I’m sorry I haven’t gotten far in the series (haven’t read book five or the others yet), I am probably going to PRE-ORDER this one. I love Snow White retellings, and I love that your Snow White loves to read!!

Kitty

It’s fine that you haven’t finished the series yet! 😉 Since Snow White doesn’t come out until December that will give you plenty of time to plug away at the series. (For certain, though, you’ll want to read books 8 & 10 before tackling Snow White.)

I’m glad you like her, too. She’s really different from my other heroines because she’s so shy, but it’s been really fun to see how she still is strong despite this.

Actually, I’m really pleased to have a shy heroine. I am naturally very shy, and I know lots of people in real life who are shyer. A shy Snow White makes for a conflicted heroine. 🙂

Thank you for taking the survey! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed the sneak peak–just wait until you meet the “Seven Dwarves.” Buwahaha!

Oh… I think I am going to love them. Just slightly hearing about them made me feel like they were a bit impish like all our guys rolled together.
Oh, can’t wait.

2018 Reader Survey and Snow White bonus!

Hi Champions, would you like a special sneak peek at Chapter 1 of Snow White?

Last year I did my first ever reader survey and as a thank you for completing the survey I gave a sneak peek of Frog Prince Chapter 1. It was so successful I decided to do it again this year, only the bonus this time is the first chapter of Snow White! (You’ll also get an exclusive look at the cover!)

The survey asks you some basic information about your book reading and buying habits. The information helps me plan my future book releases, figure out what you guys want in everything from books to giveaways, and determine how to find more readers like you! I tried to keep the survey as short as possible so it shouldn’t take you long to complete.

Keep in mind, since I’m still in the writing process, this chapter of Snow White is unedited so there are definitely mistakes in it that I will be correcting before the final version goes out.

The survey will close on October 19th so make sure you fill it out before then!

I really appreciate your feedback so thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey. I’m also selfishly excited to see what the answers are to the last question (other authors you like) as I’m always looking for more good books to read! 🙂

2018 Reader Survey

I’ve learned the fall is the perfect time to hold the survey, so it gives me time to go over your input and use it when I start planning next year’s releases and activities! (Hahaha, it only took me about four years of it, but I’m finally starting to get a handle on this author thing. ;D )

I hope you guys enjoy Snow White! Her story is shaping up to be the longest Timeless Fairy Tale, but given that her book kicks straight into Angelique’s story–which will end this arc of fairy tales–I can’t say I’m too surprised. I hope you guys enjoy it when Snow White releases in December!

But as I said earlier, thanks for taking the survey! Enjoy the sample chapter, and have a lovely week.
