Angelique’s first book, Apprentice of Magic, has been available for over a week now, and I’ve been overwhelmed at the outpouring of comments, reviews, social media posts, and more! Thank you so much Champions!
Thank you again to everyone who has left a review. As an author the reviews make my books look more “legit” (especially on a book 1 like Apprentice of Magic) and as a reader I appreciate hearing what fellow readers thought of a book before trying it myself. Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts regarding the book. Once thing I was a little surprised to learn from the reviews was how many of you have been following the Timeless Fairy Tales series for years! So a special thank you to the Champions who have been sticking with me for so long!
And now, the moment you’ve been waiting for… Click here for the bonus short story, The Duke’s New Clothes. This story is one of the many jobs that Evariste takes Angelique on during her time as an apprentice. They actually refer to this event in Apprentice of Magic, but I chose not to include it in the actual book because it was already getting really long, and while it is fun it wasn’t strictly needed for the plot line. If you liked the Boy Who Cried Wolf scene you’ll probably like this one. 🙂 I hope you enjoy it!
I love that it gives background to the stories we learned as children. As in The Emporer’s New Clothes. I love that, in your books, you introduce characters whose name niggles my senses to pull another tale from my memory.
Thank you sooo much Kity! I loved the short story! I can’t wait for more!!!
Hahaha that was so awesome!! Served that wretched Duke right…although I think he got off easy. I love how you’re incorporating all these minor fairy tales in as Angelique’s practice sessions. And Evariste….sigh. 🙂
Will you be writing a post explaining a little more about the apprentice of magic? We know most of the characters but i would really like to know what exactly should we think of lovelana.
I loved it! Ohh, and is that Chanceux Chateau?
The Duke’s home? Nope. 😉 We must hope the Duke cleaned up his act lest a certain Enchantress pays him another visit…but we shall see.
I’m rather hoping he doesn’t, as I would really like to see what else Angel would do to him. 😂
Would I could see that!
Angel visits loire quite often. It is possible that she met him again.
It was so amazing. Angel is wonderful and Evariste’s POV was so awesome too. I love that man. He is exactly what angel deserves though i hope angel one day really sees him and his thoughts. Thanks for the short kitty.
It was worth the wait.
🙂 You’re welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
I can’t wait any longer for the next book, I’ve already pre-ordered it. SO loved this short story and I’m so in love with Evariste.( I want more )Thank you this fantastic series.
😉 It won’t be too long! I’m working on revisions right now and then starts the more copy-editing type work. (I need to make it worth the wait, after all!)
I LOVE IT! Oh, how satisfying it is when the pompous are brought down!!!
Yeeees! I love this mission and the boy who cried wolf–so satisfying to watch Angelique “educate” them. 😉
I loved this short story!!!
So glad to hear it! Lol I really enjoy writing out Angelique’s adventures/shenanigans with Evariste! 😉
