Champions, you got reviews in with record timing! A big thank you to everyone who took the time to leave an honest review, I really appreciate it–and so do all the new Champions who have joined us after reading them! 😉
To celebrate this occasion, here is Curse of Magic’s bonus short story: The Love Potion: PDF file
I hope you enjoy it! As I’ve said before it takes place during the events of Apprentice of Magic.
Now! As most of you Champions know, Fairy Tale Enchantress is essentially the story of all the events of my Timeless Fairy Tales series, and Angelique is the thread that connects all the books together.
In Apprentice of Magic we got to see Angelique before she was the Enchantress-in-Training most know from the Timeless Fairy Tale series, and you got to take a peak at a few of her adventures which were much more on the fable side of things. (ie: Boy Who Cried Wolf, Diamonds and Toads, the Emperor’s New Clothes….)
But in Curse of Magic, the tasks Angelique takes on are far more epic, and take her waltzing through several big fairy tales. They are:
- Beauty and the Beast
- Puss in Boots
- Cinderella
- Wild Swans
- Sleeping Beauty
That’s all for today, Champions! (It’s a short post, but I was planning to post it yesterday as more of a check in when I realized you guys were going to hit our review goal in a matter of hours, so I delayed it a bit!)
That. Was. Awesome! One of the best lessons she’s handed out yet! And her and Evariste…😍 I could read a whole book of just these stories.
Hahah, glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun with it since I mostly just wanted a cute story with the two of them!
I cobbler and the elves (fairies) that come in the night and make shoes for him – now to remember the title of that one!
Ding, ding, ding! There are, in fact, three pairs of shoes made by the elves that are in circulation–Cinderella’s glass slippers, Puss’ boots, and Odette’s boots!
Wait, was Puss’ boots enchanted by Still though? Plus how in the name of all Good Magic would Rothbart have gotten his hands on Odette’s boots if they were made by the elves? The elves would only make the shoes (or in this world boots) for people that were good hearted. While Rothbart wasn’t the typical villain, he sure wasn’t the greatest person either.
Elves and the shoemaker
I also noticed a nod to the east of the sun west of the moon fairy tale. It’s actually one of my favorites.
Yes! Some of the East of the Sun West of the Moon retellings are just gorgeous!
Awwwww!! I love that short! <3 Thank you, Kitty!
😀 I’m glad you liked it!
The Elves and the Shoemaker? I remember it being mentioned before and I think you said it was in Trieux.
Ding, Ding, Ding!! You got it!
It’s it the one about the shoe cobbler? And I loved the extra chapter! So sweet! <3
Is it the girl in the glass coffin? Though I don’t remember any mention of it. Do you mean the one relating to Torrens, so maybe Bluebeard?
Another thing then…it’s in what once was Trieux!
