I feel like vampires shouldn’t be able to have more than one “one” though because that takes away from how special finding the one is.

I LOVE this short story! It did contain spoilers for the book (which I haven’t read for a dumb reason), but I still loved it! I’m glad this finally shined some light on Rupert and his “deep” and “dark” past. Can’t wait for book three, the final book in this great urban fantasy series!

This kind of makes me more worried for the ending with Killian and Hazel. Are they going to be able to overcome the fact that she’s mortal and Killian isn’t? For all the love they may have while she’s alive, it doesn’t make up for the fact that Killian will be left alone forever.

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking! He will have to drink her blood because they trust each other and would be more powerful together and that would turn her so she could live as long as him? *sigh* Only two more weeks until we find out!

Even 2 weeks feels tooooo long!! Why does Killian only drink blood pouches? What will convince him to drink Hazels blood? I . CANT. WAIT!! More food for thought, Does Hazel still smell good to Killian or does Hazel not trust him anymore?

The scent of her blood is only dependent on his trusting her. How her blood tastes shows how much she trusts him.

Yes, thank you for the short on Rupert. I was suspicious that he was speaking out of turn when he told Hazel Killian’s actions and strategies for keeping her safe from the night court. Also, I was suspicious that her selfless act in saving him was making him soften his heart just a little towards Hazel. And it looks like everyone in House Medeis knows there is a deep connection between Hazel and Killian. I don’t think they are bothering to tell her the vampires are still watching her. I also think she doesn’t need to be told. I just can’t wait till we get to the “kiss and make up” scene. I suspect there will be some fireworks involved and Killian will have to work a bit to make Hazel admit she loves him back. Maybe, by that time, Rupert will be willing to admit Hazel is alright. I’d love to see Rupert happy and in love with someone. He is a good guy.

That was soooo good!!! I love that inside story and I finally understand Rupert!! I kept laughing at how he was convincing himself he hated humans! But now I am wondering, does Hazel know WHY they are watching her? If so then why is she not approaching Killian? That said, was Celestina not giving Hazel her sword but having Julianne throw it to her just a ploy to make Hazel think that Celestina and the Drakes were done with her?

A Jaded Vampire

This is a little belated because I got behind while working on some other side projects–like bookkeeping, ewwww–but a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to leave honest reviews on Magic Redeemed!

The book launch has been fantastic, and that’s only possible because of you awesome and amazing Champions. Thank you so much for your support in this new series!


Now I’ll cut to the chase because I’ve been making you guys wait for it, but ta-da! I have the short story to celebrate the launch of Magic Redeemed! This one is called “A Jaded Vampire” and is about our very dear and most favorite red-headed vampire, Rupert. 😉
