Champions…it has been too long!
Wow, February is here already! I’ve got good news–I finished writing Fated! The editor JUST finished with line edits–though my editing work isn’t over yet, sadly–and everything is on target for the February 25th release date.
For those of you planning an all-nighter for Fated’s release, Fated is as long as the longest of the Court and Midnight and Deception books as it clocks in at 98,000 words, which is significantly longer than Hunted (about 83,000 words) and United (78,000 words) so factor that into your plans!
I am doubly excited about this month, because I happen to love the holiday of Valentine’s Day! (An excuse to give treats to my friends, family, and everyone I love? Where do I sign up?!) We’re going to start having some Valentine’s fun over on my KM Shea and AM Sohma facebook pages with themed Valentines, so if you need some laughs, check it out.
As for me, I’m doing better! I still don’t know if I have only one oral surgery left or two, and all the dental stuff has not been going as well as I’d like and I get keeping more procedures added on, but the procedures themselves have been less painful than the procedure and surgery I had in November, so that’s a big win! I’m still fighting an abnormal amount of fatigue, and as a result my draft of Fated was messier than usual (which is a concern, because my drafts are already pretty bad from my reading disability so that should tell you something about how terrible this was, ahahahahaaa) and I’m still sleeping too much, but my physical stamina is getting better, so it’s still a victory!
On the only true sour note, I originally thought I’d be done with all the dental stuff by summer. Yeeeaaahh, now it’s looking like hopefully I’ll be done by approximately mid-autumn. So this “fun” adventure will probably last about a year total. That was a real kick in the gut for me. I did not plan for this to go on this long, so we’re probably going to see some delays in my schedule if I keep getting knocked down like this, though I’m going to do my best. 😒
In good news, I’m excited that I’ll finally get a chance to start writing Pack of Dawn and Destiny themed posts and other launch activities I usually would have started well before now, so hang around for some Magiford Fun in February and March!
Until next time, Champions, have a wonderful day, and thanks for reading!
So sorry you’re dealing with this! DO NOT FORCE YOURSELF TO WRITE. Your health is more important the all the books you write!!! Hope you get well soon, and I’m very excited for Fated!!! <3
I’m sorry to hear your health isn’t recovering as fast as originally thought. That sucks. Take the time you need–we’ll be here on the other side, ready to buy and enjoy what you write when you’re feeling better!
Can’t wait for Fated! And seriously, Kitty, focus on ur health. I hope we Champions can help keep your mood up during this time. We do owe u SOMETHING for turning our entire lives upside down and making up these new worlds full of the most amazing characters I ever met for us. We adore Leila, Hazel, Pip, Elle, Angel, Fyn, all the characters you’ve written about(except maybe Fell- he’s still a jerk😁) and we love you for introducing them to us. You’re the best.
So stay happy, stay healthy. You are ABSOLUTELY NOT going to force yourself to write when you are facing health problems and will relax for a while.
YUP!
Champions, I had a question. Do you know were fan fictions written by fellow champions are present?
Thanks!!
All the best, Kitty! You rock!
So glad you are putting your health first. I enjoy your books so much and appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into all of them. Each one has been a great reading experience. I recommend your books all the time.
I hope you feel better soon! Good luck with all the procedures and recovery! Your champions stand behind you all the way!
Fatigue really knocks you for a loop. I’m so sorry you are still dealing with that. I echo everything that has already been said. Right now I’m dealing with the car problem that won’t go away, and between me and you, I think I’d rather deal with the perpetual car issue. If it gets too bad I can sell it. You can’t do that with health issues. Please don’t over exert yourself. We want you healthy and happy. At the same time I also know that having something to do can help the time pass a little easier when your waiting for your body to repair and recover. Just don’t push it. We love you!
I am so sorry you are still going through this! Well, health is wealth, so don’t over work yourself! I think we, champions can wait a for the books a little longer if it means that you will feel better. On the good note, only a few months and this “adventure” will end!
by the way , the joke was quite funny!
Hope you have a great Valentines!
Oh sweetie, don’t worry about us! Just focus on your health and take it easy. One day at a time and easy does it.
Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us all!
I am sorry that you are still having on going health issues. Dealing with procedures, pain and fatigue are the worst. I hope that you can get some much needed rest after meeting your upcoming deadlines. I wish you the best. I just wanted you to know that you are an amazing author and I have really enjoyed your books.
Hope you feel better! Sorry that you’re going through this! Keep Writing! I appreciate your books! Put your health first! Have a great day!
So sorry you’re going through all this. Personally fatigue is the worst. I hate pain but I can sometimes push through that. There is no pushing through fatigue. All your spoons are gone and you can’t get anymore! Take care of you. I get so excited for each of your books but I’d rather wait if it means you putting your health first! And thank you for the image with this post. It gave me hope for a great Valentines.
