Oh that was great 🤣

I haven’t had an email chain like that really, but my in-laws have a family texting group that gets pretty chaotic and hilarious (10 silly adults who also share hilarious stories of the 7/soon-to-be 8 kiddos in the family)
I’ve ignored my phone for an hour only to come back to 40 texts about getting chickens. Not even kidding bahaha

I rarely volunteer this public an opinion, BUT you are without a doubt one of the most creative and consistently readable authors in this genre that I have had the pleasure of discovering. Your ability to introduce new characters into an ongoing world as seamlessly as you have done is a skill few others have mastered. That your world building is believable is another skill to be admired.
Please continue, as long as your health permits you, to share this world. It is a place worth visiting by any means possible

I particularly love the “sup” TLD (top level domain) in the addresses. I immediately guessed it was for supernaturals. I even checked the list to make sure that wasn’t a real one! The little details are so much fun, and add to the feeling of it being not quite the ordinary world.

Hi Kitty. Just wanted to say that this is by far my absolute favorite among all your short stories and that’s saying a lot, because your stories are Amazing!
The interplay of various characters is so spot on and hilarious. So many laugh out loud moments… Elite Bellus is one very smart person.
I have read it so many times since the survey, but I enjoyed reading it again.
Don’t stress yourself out about the book and if it’s possible and you need to, postpone it more. Stay healthy. You work so hard.

Oh, I love this short story! I can totally picture Elite Bellus groaning at his computer, Greyson distractedly joining in, and the Paragon being, well, the Paragon! It gets funnier every time I read it. Thanks for the awesome story!

Thank you Kitty, for the lovely short story. It was a bit longer than most other ones and I loved the chance to read more about the Magiford series characters (It’s my fav series)!! I eagerly soaked up everything you wrote, it was amazing to hear all the main characters in the Regional Committee of Magic interacting! I have been dying to see all the main characters (male and female leads + the Paragon – he’s a must-have!) in a short story together, and I missed the Reader Survey in 2022. When The King’s Queen releases, it would be so cool if you could write another short story with all the characters + Chloe and Noctus, I really want to see how everyone gets along (I have always wondered what would happen if you placed Killian, Rigel, Greyson and now Noctus in a room together – an escape room perhaps…) But as much as I’m sitting on the edge of my chair and counting down the days until The King’s Queen releases (17 days!!!), you mustn’t push yourself too much to make The King’s Queen ready and perfect in time for us. None of us Champions want you to overwork yourself like Noctus (perhaps Perfect Dog could get you to take a break like Amalourne did with Noctus!)

Yeah, I thought exactly the same. I also loved Rigel, he even has the shortest email address possible. And I probably still don’t understand where did Paragon appear. Loved it.

Short Story: Regional Committee of Magic Re: Photo Op

Hello Champions! Thank you so much for your patience while you continue to wait for the final book in the Gate of Myth and Power series. When I picked the release date for book 3 I thought I was being generous, but I’m still working furiously on everything and it’s going to be down to the absolute wire to get it ready for you!

While you wait I thought this was a great time to give you a gift! Technically this is a re-gift because I gave this short story away as a thank you to each Champion who filled out my Reader Survey in 2022, but I decided now is a good time to re-share it with everyone!


Regional Committee of Magic Short Story

This short story utilizes the “letters” format which I’ve done this before with a few others like Between a Queen and Her Colonel and Notes on Elves. Those were a little different since they were actual “letters” and this short story is “emails”. Another big difference is this Magiford short story has more participants so it is much more chaotic then any of the other short stories I’ve written in this style.
