In the picture of the timeline, it shows that Magic on Main Street series takes place at the same time as “Hunted.” “Hunted” took place during the fall, but “United” took place during the winter. So far both the first and second of Jade’s books take place during the fall. I’m wondering if Jade’s series will finish before winter starts. If that is the case, then does that mean that the next series will pick up where Jade left off and start and end in winter and take place only during the book “United”? Especially if she continues with more stories about the taskforce. Then she could do a third series with the taskforce that takes place during “Fated”!

“ While I am talking about the Paragon: NO the Paragon is NOT the ML for Shiloh’s series or my next series. I haven’t decided yet if I will write a series for him – if I do it will be several years in the future before it happens.”

🥺😩 Was so hoping that based on the various mentions throughout the different series, that the Paragon would get his own book(s), and in them we would see his glamour dropped. Based on his mentions, it seems valid that he is young or at least his true appearance is young. He is my fave secondary character. He is power, cunning and downright hilarious. And Aphrodite? Maybe that is a glamour as well. So many possibilities!

I also was hoping for a series with the Paragon as the ML, plus I am still waiting on a series with one of the protagonists being a dragon.

PS. I would love for a character to be a half-elf half-dragon.

Oooh I didn’t even think of that! A dragon as a protagonist would be soooo good.

I really love that you’ve had to make it so super clear that the Paragon is NOT Shiloh’s love interest or anyone else’s for a while. We clearly really like him! You know, it occurs to me that the glamour could be covering that the Paragon is actually female! It would have to be super powerful because wasn’t he around when one of those explosions went off (with Chloe and Noctus on clean up) and the elves lost their glamours?

Thanks for giving us a timeline to make it more clear! I also can’t wait to see who’s going to feature in the series after Jade. Also, can’t wait to find out who Shiloh’s love interest is!

I have read and absolutely loved all of the Magiford series. I wish we could get another series based on “Hunted.”. That is my favorite, but I lovee them all and look forward to more.
Thank you for your time, service, and sacrifices and especially your true gift of writing.

Please do one for the Paragon. Also I think I found him in Pack of Dawn and Destiny as his real self??? Spoiler Alert (Aphrodite needed a toddler onesie)

Yeah, I figured that was him too. “It’s adorable. You’d hate it” (or something like that) when talking about the town to his “bestie” is 100% on brand. Also wondered if perhaps he has some elven blood, given how upset he got when Chloe revealed she could see through his glamour.

I thought that was because he’s actually really young and doesn’t want anyone to know that he’s not really old? (It could make others look down on him as the Fae Representative?)

Seems like an awful lot of melt down for something as simple as aging himself up. My other idea was that there might be more than one person playing the role of Paragon, but then I thought that it was unlikely since he’s so over the top and unique.

You have to also consider his ego. He’s fooled everyone else into thinking he’s literally decades older than he actually is, and he’s obviously quite powerful. Wounded pride can blow up any situation, and one in which a powerful organization has assassinated others? His secret getting out could have been dangerous to him.

I don’t think he has elven blood because the magic would’ve given him away. Every race feels the magic of other races differently, and the Paragon has performed magic in front of people in other books. No one has noted that his magic felt anything other than fae.

Thank you! That matched up with what I was thinking anyway, though I didn’t know about the next series.

Like Emma said, thanks for clarifying! And yeah, the Paragon is delightfully weird and we are on board with him someday finding his One or whatever they call it in Paragon circles. Will we someday learn his given name, because I think Paragon is his title, right? Like Eminence or Dominant?

Danielle

Yes, Paragon is the title, on the same level as Dominant (national leader). Eminence is regional, though now I’m wondering if the other regions have different titles. Ancient is the title for the top vampire in the US.

I think once Leila becomes the Fae Empress she will be the top fae, and the Paragon had just wound up with the job by default when they didn’t have any other leader. I wonder what he’ll do then.

The Dominant (shifter), the Paragon (fae), the Ancient (vampire), and the Magister (wizard) are just the top representatives of their races in America, not their rulers. They help keep the peace between the races, not truly rule over them. Leila becoming Fae Empress will not kick the Paragon out of his job.

Danielle

We can disagree about what the leader does. It’s clear that Leila becoming Fae Empress will make her the person the fae come to with their problems rather than the Paragon, so my question still stands. What on earth is he going to do once she’s accepted by all?

He could focus his time in on Aphrodite.

Thanks for making the timeline clear now! Also just saying I wouldn’t mind the paragon having his own story so if you decide to write a book for him I will wait patiently. Lol 😆

Magiford Series Timeline

Hello Champions! I have noticed a lot of confusion regarding how the Magic on Main Street series fits with the rest of the Magiford series. Which makes sense! There are now five series in the Magiford Supernatural City timeline, and I went back in time with the Magic on Main Street books so the confusion in understandable. To make things easier here is a graphic showing the timeline, and I'm going to add some extra notes to this blog post as well:

The four series in the middle of the graphic (including the series for Shiloh which isn't written yet and won't be coming for a while) are all related to each other because they all deal with the search the Paragon has been doing and the reason he is hanging out in the Midwest. (Read Gate of Myth and Power series for more details about his search, I'm trying to avoid dropping spoiler bombs here, hahaha.) The other books, including Pack of Dawn and Destiny, Magic on Main Street, and the unnamed series I am writing next are obviously part of the same Magiford world but they aren't related to the Paragon's search which is also the reason why he does not have a major role in these books. You can think of them as spin offs! While I am talking about the Paragon: NO the Paragon is NOT the ML for Shiloh's series or my next series. I haven't decided yet if I will write a series for him - if I do it will be several years in the future before it happens. As you can see in this graphic we went back in time with the Magic on Main Street series and these books directly overlap with the timeline of the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series. And yes, the next series is also going "back in time" because it will take place before the events of the Gate of Myth and Power series. This next series is also related to Jade + Considine's story, and that's all you get to hear for now because anything more is spoiler territory for Jade's final book!
