Sooooo i know this poll is about the heroes but the anti- hero type made me start thinking about anti-heroine. I started wondering what a main character like that would look like in your books. I think maybe the closest anti-heroine character would be Phile? She’s a little shady but fun

All I think is Allerleihrau (there was a great adaption from the German tv) combined with a villain (I love books with villains as hero)
as hero.
Nevertheless I’m looking forward to read the next book.

I would really like to read about a shy nerd. I think it’s always super cute when a character is so loyal and in love but is too shy to show it. I’m excited about several of the other character ideas as well. Looking forward to seeing what Kitty writes next and what hero types she chooses!

I like how there’s a few new different categories this time 😀

I hope we get to see most of them eventually

I chose anti-hero – it’s not necessarily my favourite, but I’m very interested to see what Kitty do with it given her heroines have such a strong moral core.

Hahaha, now that you mention it I can see Mr. brooding anti-hero…and my passionate, moral heroine who wants nothing more than to drop-kick him for his actions! 😉

I agree, but I also want to see an Artemis Fowl type hero who gets
corrected by the Heroine.

Gah! I want them all!!! XDD
Thanks so much for doing this, Kitty, it’s so cool and so much fun – it makes us feel like we have a share in the creative process, and like a tiny part of the future books are ours! It’s really neat!

😀 I’m glad you enjoy it!
It helps me a lot too because as a fellow reader, I’m aware I could easily get stuck in a rut, so I enjoy the poll because it really challenges me as well!

This was an easy one for me, as I know my preferred type (haha) and you had several colorful options that would be super fun. I would LOVE to see the Sherlock-type genius, and it would be awesome to see a rival hero who is just as competent as the heroine and gives her a total run for her money. Yay competition!

The rival wasn’t one I really had thought of before, but I’ve been throwing around the idea now for a while and I have to say I’m pretty intrigued to see the different ways I could play with it!

Though personally I would love to pair a really dry, down-to-earth girl with the Sherlock type. Half the time she would want to kick him in the teeth, and the other half of the time he would clumsily attempt to romance her. 😉

So hard to choose! Glad to see the ones I liked but didn’t vote for are still pretty high in the rankings right now, though.

It’s been fun to see a couple of new suggestions this year that have risen pretty high in the ranks! 😀

I’m so excited! This poll always makes it seem like the next books will be coming out sooner!

Hahaha, well I’m personally excited–I’m using this poll as research material for the Snow White Timeless Fairy Tale! 😉

Oooh!!! Now I can hardly wait!

2018 Most-Wanted Hero Poll

It’s time for the second half of the annual poll: the most-wanted hero poll! Here’s how it works.

I took the suggestions you guys gave me over the last few weeks, and I compiled them into this poll. To keep it from being horribly long I had to group a lot of the suggestions together, so you likely won’t see your exact suggestion. This year, you can vote for FOUR different hero-types you most want to see in a book! This poll will close Friday, April 6th.

Reminder: I use this poll as a way to monitor what you guys like. Depending on my book launches for the year, I may not be able to use the top voted suggestions, or the hero types might not fit in with the themes/heroine character I’ve designed for a book. This is supposed to be mostly for fun–but I do try to pay attention to what you Champions say through this poll.

Thanks for joining in the fun. I can’t wait to see what guys you Champions vote to the top this time!
