I love Aysel, but I think his role as the Son of the Administrator for the MBRC ( I mean his the successor Asahi doesn’t cut it) won’t let him think of Morgan as The Girlfriend, also he has a lot of pride, so I don’t see him allowing himself to fall for Morgan… to him she’s just a mortal..
Devin I think has fallen for Morgan hard and hes scared, he’s in his early twenties and she’s in high school, so he’s intimidated, doesn’t know how to act around her or what to do about his attraction, she’s was too young…also he’s use to have the women falling for him, just like Aysel, so he doesn’t know how to court her… but I think he will grow in the next book and he is the one that I think is the one Morgan will end with.. Hes the logical one… and he said he was in love with her in the first book…
Hunter I think just fells lonely, that’s why he wants Morgan, because shes one of the few people who remembers him and he can’t persuade…
Sorry for the looooong comment got carried away…..

Good character analysis – I like this! I hadn’t thought of these aspects of Devin’s and Hunter’s personalities. That is a particularly resonant explanation for Hunter’s behavior – lonely people can do some completely irrational things – but I still don’t think it really excuses it. Although I suppose a goblin would laugh at the idea of being bound by human codes of conduct …

I am going to have to agree with the previous statements about Aysel. I really liked him for Morgan.

I’m jumping on…for me it’s a tie between Aysel and Devin also. They both have a facade that the present but different encounters with Morgan suggest that she brings out more from them. I think I may like Aysel a little more cuz I like the mysterious guy but also he didn’t feel the need to make Morgan jealous!

Well I don’t know who all 6 of the votes are for, but I do know some of them are for Frey!

I had to chuckle at your estimation of Hunter, Carolyn. (I did purposely make him a little…intense.) Likewise with your view of Aysel, Jennie! As for Tricia’s observations of Devin, you’ll find out in the sequel! (Which, yes, is still unnamed. Anything except for MBRC 2 seems to be spoilerific.)

Right now, I can’t decide between Aysel and Devin. You’re right Kitty, Aysel’s a sourpuss but two scenes near the end of the book made me reconsider. 1. When they’re kidnapped, he can leave but won’t leave her behind. 2. When Morgan hugs him when they’re back at the MBRC and he hugs her back. If not for those, I would have thrown him out of the running.

Sorry, Kelly. You responded whilst I was composing my response so I missed your comment. Anyway, I’m very glad you remember those moments Morgan had Aysel. They do come into play again…;)

I think I got a totally different impression of these characters than Carolyn and Jennie did. I didn’t really like Aysel all that much. He is too overbearing. Devin was the one that I thought had more depth to him. He seems like a playboy on the surface, but it hides that he is really vulnerable on the inside…but maybe that’s just how I read him. Funny how characters strike different readers!

Hi Kitty… Aysel popularity I think is because he shows to be the deep kind of guy with lots of undercurrents… and when you get that kind of guy you have won him forever… plus I think he needs some like Morgan to ground him and call his bluffs and sh***…
I love Devin too, he is the classic ¨Gods gift to women¨ guy… a man flirt.. but I admit he really worked for Morgan in the first book and I personaly think he´s the one she ends up with… (even though he gets points off for the Fairys in each arm when he went to find Morgan… hahaha). But I know Morgan could handle him…
Thank you for your poll it was great!!!!

I agree with Jenny – additionally, Aysel and Morgan would make quite the power couple, changing things at MBRC for the better. As for Hunter, I wanted to like him, I really did, but he turned out to be too much of a creep, sorry. And as much I enjoyed Devin’s character, I’m not sure Morgan could ultimately be happy with him. But maybe he grows up a little 😉 I guess we’ll find out soon!

What. Is. THIS?!? How the heck did Aysel get to be so popular? He’s a sourpuss! (Although that makes him a lot of fun to write….) I’m not entirely surprised that Devin is popular, but I didn’t think Hunter would lag so much. Still, I’m glad I’m holding the poll. It’s quite revealing.

Curious

Some of the responses to the My Life at the MBRC cover got me curious. So now I have to know…who do you think Morgan should end up with?

If you say other, let me know in the comments who you’re thinking of.

I suspect one of my new characters, Harrison the goblin, will probably be incredibly popular with my older readers, but sadly he’s too old for Morgan. Still, I’m anxious to find out who is the Champions’ favorite, so please vote!
