Wow! That was really fun to watch! I like you even better after seeing it. 😊

It’s really interesting to know that Farren was so persistent about liking Rakel so much! 😆 Poor little Rakel! Those two are my absolute favourite characters and couples of your books, and it’s a showing of Farren’s real-ness that he dictated that part.
And oh my goodness! Perfect Dog sounds like such a wonderful little companion, and I love her relationship with Roland! It really reminds me of the relationship\past our dog and cat have – except that the dog is a guy in my case and the cat is the girl.
The best thing about this video, though, was that I found that you’re a Christian! That made me so happy to hear. I’m a Christian, too, and it truly warms me to know of others who are. <3

Thank you for sharing this video with us, Kitty! 😄

Congrats Kitty!! I know you’ve had a hard time with Reign of Magic and you’re basically finished! Kick back and rest a little (since your a work-a-holic).

I loved this! It was so great to get to know you more and see what things I/we have assumed were correct. I did want to say that of all the things you said, your faith does come through in your behavior and in the way you write in a really good way. You represent what you believe and I think you inspire others to look for ways to live positively and make choices that bring joy to others. This video definitely made me an even bigger fan 🙂

This was cool, I tend to be busy enough (more like impatient enough) that I hardly ever finish videos all the way. Although I had to pause a couple of times ( what child you’re hungry?) I watched this to the end. Lol to the age thing. When you are a kid you can tell everyone to the month how old you are, later on you have to think hard about it yourself. I’m in the late thirties so unfortunately I’m pretty aware at the moment. I agree with an earlier comment about appreciating hearing you pronounce your characters names. I often pronounce them differently in my head so it was cool hearing how you pronounce them. Thank you for writing such wonderful books. I’m a demographic of having three kids ages 2-6 and homeschool. I love reading your books because they are lighthearted enough yet serious enough to give me that much needed mental break. (Oh and wild swans was my favorite fairy tale when I was younger and I remember loving the illustrations. I wonder if it could have been the same book)

Just finished Curse of Magic and at the end it said the next book would be out in August 2019… But obviously not. When is the next book targetted to be published?

According to Amazon it’s coming out on October 10th. I just saw it and ordered it myself! I’m so looking forward to this book. I re-read Apprentice of Magic and Curse of Magic, then re-read Sleeping Beauty until everyone is put to sleep, then Rumpelstiltskin, The Frog Prince, and Swan Lake, then finished Sleeping Beauty so that I could get everything as close as I could to the correct timeline of events. I’ve been sitting on tenter-hooks since then as it was a month ago that I finished re-reading those books. So glad that we now have a date to really look forward to. And just in time for the Columbus Day weekend. (I work in the Financial Services industry so I get Columbus Day off. Yay!)

Early October. It got delayed due to its larger size which is taking up quite a lot of time to edit.

Thanks! It was so entertaining and enlightening! I agree with the others, your pronunciation of Evariste helped a lot! Hopefully we (or you?) can do this again!

Thanks! That was fun, I’d watch another one :-).

A few random thoughts:
I’d also watch a short-ish video where you pronounce the names of your characters and worlds and whatnot! The ones you mentioned here, several of them were NOT at all how I’d said them in my head (Evariste being the most different, though from how you say it I’m guessing you stuck with the French sort of root there, which I hadn’t realized until I heard it).

Assumption from me having watched this: you’re from somewhere on the East coast, maybe vaguely in the Pennsylvania sort of area?

Lastly, if it makes you feel better, I’ve had to “math” for my age several times this week alone. Admittedly, I’m tired, but seriously, I found myself second-guessing my math and doing it again! I am, in fact, 31…I think ;-).

I would love to see another video about how you prepare for writing a new book. That one with snow white was great! I am especially interested in how you work on Angelique’s series as it is a mixture of fairytales and not just one. Like how you incorporate references to different stories in it.

This was so fun to watch! I feel like I know you so much better now. If you were ever in Utah and wanted to do a get together I would totally make the effort to go and bring friends with me!

As a suggestion for future videos, I would love to hear you talk about your thoughts/inspiration behind each of your main and/or secondary characters. I know you touch on this in blog posts, so I’m not saying you should reinvent the wheel, it was just fun to listen to you speak so candidly about them. Oh! And on a related note, it was helpful to have you pronounce Evariste’s name! I have always read it as ‘A-vaR-ee-st.’

Reader Assumptions

I finally finished my Reader Assumptions video! Here it is for you all to see–though in warning it’s pretty long. It’s just under thirty minutes, so pick a time when you’re doing dishes or something. 😉

As I said on the video, a big thank you to everyone who submitted an assumption! It was so fun to see what areas you were all right in, and some of the comments left on that initial blog post were so heart-warming and amazing. Thanks so much for your love and support, Champions! I am so lucky to have you all.
