I had surgery a week before Christmas and knew that I would have time to enjoy this book. It took a little longer to read than it normally does when you release a new book. First the surgery, then Christmas kind of got it the way, but also my sister and I decided that I would read it to her over the phone whenever she and I could get together. We just finished it and I have to say it was probably a good thing we had to wait this long to read it because laughing that much would have been too painful. As it was we thoroughly enjoyed it and saw many connections to the other fairytale books. Now I have to review the King Arthurs books in prep for the last one. Thank you again for another wonderfully told fairytale reselling.

I’m sorry to hear about your surgery, but I think it’s sweet that you and your sister went through it together! (I’m so glad it made you laugh! Briar was such a sass–mostly due to Firra and Donaigh’s influence–so I had a lot of fun with her and the rest of the crew!) Hopefully you will enjoy the last King Arthurs book just as much. 😀

For whatever reason I has gotten it in my head that the book came out on the 16th instead of the 15th. I was even counting down the days on my phone and rereading all the rest of the series in preparation for this release, then was so mad when I realized I missed a whole day of reading after waiting for what seemed like forever since Wild Swans came out! But I finished it on the 17th and left my review 🙂 One thing I will say is that when I was rereading the first seven books, I picked up on some grammatical errors and a few confusingly worded sentences. I wasn’t quite sure where to say that, but I just wanted to put that out there. But I digress, you have a lovely voice, delightfully interesting and funny characters (I always seem to find myself laughing and smiling while reading your books) and it’s always a pleasure to read your stories. You are doing a fantastic job and I can’t wait for your next ! <3

Thank you for leaving the review! I’m sorry for you that you missed a day reading it, but I’m glad you got a chance to go back through and read some of the oldies! I am trying to clean up the older books, slowly but surely. (The new version of Cinderella just went up yesterday, but Rumpelstiltskin and Wild Swans are still getting slaughtered at the moment.)

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement! 🙂 I hope my future books continue to entertain you!

That was a great book! Briar Rose was a lot of fun, and so was Delanna. I laughed so hard on so many occasions! I think my family thinks I’m crazy! 😉 However, I think it could have been maybe a tad longer. It just felt a little rushed. Don’t worry, though. As I said, great book! Hey, when is the Snow Queen anthology coming out? Thanks for writing. 🙂

I’m so glad you thought it was funny! I really had fun with the friendships in this book–which I don’t usually get the chance to dwell on. And believe it or not, Sleeping Beauty actually ties for second place with Wild Swans in longest Timeless Fairy Tale books! It is a lot to unpack, though, as the story covers a pretty significant length of time.

Arrg, why must you keep the most interesting-sounding short story locked until the last? =) You did this with Swan Lake, too, if memory serves. (The one about Rothbart) xD My guess is that The Third Knight is Delanna’s time to shine. x3

Bingo! The last short does deal with Delanna–though it’s still Briar’s Point-of-view. 😀 And I saved it for last because it is the longest, buwahah! 😉

Sleeping Beauty Released!

Today is the big day–Sleeping Beauty is available for purchase! A few of you impressive readers have already whipped through it–which impresses me greatly–but as the majority of you Champions haven’t had a chance to crack it yet, I’ll refrain from talking about it, and instead use this post for some housekeeping things.

The matter of greatest importance is Sleeping Beauty reviews! Reviews are really important for authors. They help a lot in terms of opening up doors for advertising as some places have a review requirement, and they also provide useful feedback for me and for possible/interested readers. So as a thank you for reviewing! (I appreciate reviews anywhere you can leave them including Amazon.com, the UK Amazon site, the Australian Amazon site, and Goodreads!)

This time I’m releasing three shorts!

The Beginning: 2 page short story:  Unlocked The Assignment: 11 page short story: Unlocked (Told from Firra’s perspective) The Third Knight: 12 page short story:  Unlocked (Two guesses what this one is about, eh?)

Next up, Beauty and the Beast is temporarily on sale for 99 cents to celebrate Sleeping Beauty‘s release! I’ll probably keep it at that price for roughly a month before hiking it back to its regular price of $2.99.

Finally, I recall that several Champions have birthdays this week, so I hope you have a happy birthday and a splendid birthday weekend!

That’s it for today! I’ll give you all a few days to read before I start my Sleeping Beauty themed posts. Until then, have a lovely time reading, Champions, and thanks in advance for the reviews!
