Yay, I have been talking so much about these books to my family, that my family is overdosed and won’t read it (since I spoiled it all for them already) and my reading pals aren’t good on catching the small hints and subtle information. Which is something that is so rich in these books.

What you can expect: the more you read, the more you learn of the world you are getting into. You will not know more then the person whose viewpoint you share and I adore that. It makes each new page exciting and filled with anticipation.

Ha! I’m already set to reread the series this week in anticipation of the fourth book’s release on Friday. Or late Thursday night since I’m on the west coast…
I look forward to hearing everyone’s theories and whether or not they match up with my own.

Eager to read your theories! I’m anticipating her latest release later this week

2019 Summer Read-Along!

I’m so excited to announce a new event, the 2019 Summer Read-Along and the selected series, City Between.

2019KMSheaSummerEvent

City Between is an urban fantasy series written by the lovely W. R. Gingell. It has squeaky clean romance and is low on cursing, but there are bloody battles.

Hi. My name is Pet.

It’s not my real name, but it’s the only one you’re getting. And it’s not so much that I’m Pet.

am a pet.

A human pet: I belong to the two Behindkind fae and the pouty vampire who just moved into my house. It’s not weird, I promise—well, it is weird, yeah. But it’s not weird weird, you know?

So you know the selected series…but what’s a Read-Along?

The basic idea is that together we’re going to read our way through the City Between series, tackling a book a week! Each Monday I’ll post an announcement, reminding you what book we’re reading for the week and include a few fun questions with answers from W. R. Gingell herself! Then Saturday morning I’ll make a discussion post, giving us a spot to talk about theories, observations, etc.

The Read-Along officially begins June 3rd, but you can start reading the first book, Between Jobs, right now if you want to!

In warning, the series isn’t yet completed, BUT half of the fun in City Between is all the twists and veiled plot threads W. R. has written, and I really, really, really want to discuss these books with someone. And Myrrhlynn won’t talk to me about them anymore because I have over blabbed about them. 🙁 (Seriously, the characters in these books are incredible, it’s by far my most favorite series of 2019, and I can’t wait to share my theories with you, Champions!)

If urban fantasy isn’t quite to your taste, that’s okay! You can leave comments in the Read-Along posts about the books you are reading! (Chances are–since we’re all pretty united on what we like–some of us will have read/are reading it as well, so we can still chit chat about it.)

As a special treat, each week will also have a giveaway of some of the stickers available in my Society 6 store. There will be 4 winners each week and the giveaway is open to residents of the United States AND anyone living in a country that can receive first class international mail from the United States.

We’re test driving this Summer Read-Along after going through all the feedback we received about our Summer Reading Program last year. We took what you Champions said in the survey answers, added in what we learned–and Myrrhlynn took into account my rather evangelistic tendencies regarding City Between–and we came up with our Read-Along!

So on behalf of W. R. Gingell, the K. M. Shea team, and myself, we hope you enjoy the coming fun, and keep an eye out for fun posts coming your way!

July Update: I had a ton of fun going through the City Between series, and I hope you did too!
